Pillow talk????
A co-worker who has a daughter the same grade as C (in another district nearby) came into work upset yesterday. Her daughter CT couldn't sleep Sunday night. She had been to a sleep-over on Saturday night where one of the girls read a forwarded text message on her cell phone.
It was about convicted rapists living in the area (presumably info from Megan's law). CT was traumatized - she apparently had been told what rape is and that it is happening in her town.
Mom was pretty upset, too.
I wondered: is this what 10 and 11 year olds talk about at sleepovers at my house too?
And, is this something we are supposed to be proactively discussing with 10 year olds???!!!
What a world we live in!
